Initial reviews of the new tablet have been mixed with the biggest gripe appearing to be a lack of apps available in the Microsoft Store. Earlier reports suggested as much only a month before release date. The quality of the built in camera has also been criticised.Despite a lack of apps, the tech giant said pre-orders of the 32GB version of the tablet had "temporarily sold out" in the US, Canada, France, Germany and the UK within one day of going on sale. The 64GB version remains on offer.
More apps may be announced alongside the Official Windows 8 launch this Friday. Microsoft earlier announced a Surface specific version of Office 2013.
