Describing it as the "most ambitious release" yet, Microsoft is making sure it gets of to a thriving start when Windows 8 launches for tablets and touch screens around the globe later this year.For the first time ever users will be able to tap, swipe and pinch their way around the full Microsoft Office Suite. We will also be able to highlight or annotate digital documents by using your finger and a stylus. You can even drawn a sketch if you are bored!
Other new features include Skype integration and Yammer (social networking for businesses). Microsoft's Skydrive is also tightly integrated meaning your documents are synced and saved automatically to the cloud. This is handy if you work on the move, made even more relevant since Microsoft announced its Surface Tablet.
It's looking like 2012 is going to be the year Microsoft becomes a serious competitor in the mobile market, even as a late comer it is starting to take shape.
