Windows 7 "God Mode"

Windows 7 godmode operating systems

Windows 7 contains a hidden feature called GodMode that allows you to access all of the Operating Systems control panels from a single location.  This can be particularly handy if you find youself tinkering with the settings from time to time.

This also works with Windows Vista.
You can enable GodMode by following these simple steps
  • Right Click your desktop and create a new folder
  • Rename the new folder to GodMode.{ed7ba470-8e54-465e-825c-99712043e01c}

  • The icon will change to look like this

  • Double Click your new icon and you will get a list of items that would normally only be found by digging into the control panel.

  • Lastly, GodMode works like other windows in that it can be searched to find stuff faster!

This is sure to save you some time.  At the very least it's nice to see all of the options in one place.

No more crashes :P
I'm still waiting for a customizable blue screen of death. I'd prefer a red screen of death.

[edit - there totally is one! http://www.howtogeek...color-you-want/]
quick note: this trick works in windows 8, as well.
